"Imagine this. 1992. Barcelona International Comic Convention. A small booth brings out a role-playing game, still smelling of local copy-shop reprographics. It’s cheap-looking. It’s printed on bluish cardboard. It’s as inexpensive as it gets. It reads:

Fanhunter, the epicodecadent role-playing game

They have boxes with 300 copies. All they could print without mortgaging a kidney. They cross their fingers to recover their investment. They’re nervous, watching people walk past them, looking at much larger booths, far more polished productions. Until they sell the first copy. And the second. And the third.

That same night, there are no copies left. They’re all gone.

With the money they earn, and very wisely, they make a decision that will change the history of role-playing games forever: to release a second edition of the game.

34 years later, from Shadowlands, we want to pay our most sincere tribute to this unmatched milestone. On May 15th, just as the 44th edition of the Barcelona Comic Convention begins, the pre-order for the fourth edition of the Fanhunter role-playing game starts, one of the best-selling in Spain’s history.

And, because we know this tribute is not enough, we have a special edition just for you:

Fanhunter, the post-epicopunk and chorragrimdark role-playing game

There will be a Special Fanzine Edition.

With an unreleased cover that emulates old-school printings, a unique layout that recreates 90s design styles, and prices in 'pesetas'…

This book contains exactly the same content as the core book of Fanhunter, the post-epicopunk and chorragrimdark role-playing game, except for the cover, but it comes with an extra dose of good vibes and nostalgia because…

It will last only as long as the Barcelona Comic Convention lasts.

After that, it will no longer be available in any way. There will be no reprints, no reissues with a little hole punch. Only a dose of love for those brave enough to get into this mess (or those who pay a fortune on resale sites in 20 years).

We love you, damn it.
